Our Mission and Vision
STARS and BARS was founded in 2016 by Joshua Quinn,
driven by a burning passion to help.
Joshua spread his knowledge and mentorship from America all the way to UAE
where he has been operating since late 2024.
The institute first started off with students of ethnic groups and people of color
who were facing discrimination, racism, and unfair treatment.
Now including all kinds of students, providing support to those with personal,
social, emotional wellbeing and behavioral challenges, including neurodivergent
students.
Leadership
Our Intern Leadership Structure
Major decisions are made by the board. Each board member has voting power and a specialized role.
President
Chief spokesman for the organization. Sets the vision and executes the mission.
Vice President
Second-in-command, overseeing the mentee experience across all program sectors.
Secretary
Responsible for all documentation and internal communication.
CICO
Restorative justice and organizational compliance.
Mentor Coordinator (2)
Both are responsible for organizing mentor trainings and mentor-mentee relations.
Treasurer
Responsible for all financial activities.
