Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the app stores and who can see it. It is written for students and families as well as staff.
What we collect
We store the details you (or your school) give us to run the programme: name, school, grade, role, birthday, contact details, photos you upload, messages, meeting metadata, documents, survey answers, attendance, and progress records.
We also store technical logs needed to keep the app signed in and working, such as session cookies and security events.
Student and child data, in plain language
Mentee and mentor accounts are student accounts. We treat that information as school-programme data, not as something to sell or use for advertising.
Younger students (mentees) have extra forms: parent consent. Mentors sign a safeguarding and confidentiality agreement.
Who can see what
You can see your own profile, documents, and activity.
Your development data (progress, reflections, surveys, fitness, attendance, and calendar goals) is confidential. Only you, counselors at your school, and admins can see it.
People you connect with (mentor, mentee, parent, or teacher) cannot see your development data. They only see your profile card and what you choose to share with them in messages or meetings.
Authorised admins and counselors may view all data on an account at any time by opening a supervised session. While that session is open, a Supervised Session banner shows the name of the person accessing the account. That use is logged.
Partners see partner tools, not a full student file.
Photos and public media
Profile photos and Achievement stories can appear to other signed-in users and, when published, on public Achievements pages. Agreeing to the Terms of Service is the consent for that use.
Meetings and recordings
Meetings are live video only. This version does not record cameras, mics, or screen share.
If recordings are turned on in a later version, we will ask for a fresh consent before a session is saved, and we will say who can watch it.
AI
We do not use AI to read, score, or generate decisions from student journals, messages, surveys, or documents in this version.
If that changes, we will update this policy and ask you to agree again.
Cookies
The app needs cookies to keep you signed in. Optional cookies, if you allow them, help us understand whether the public site loads correctly. See the Cookie policy for the choice screen.
Export, deletion, and withdrawing consent
You can download a copy of your account data from Settings.
Accounts cannot be deleted from the app. Programme records are kept so history is not lost. A timed suspension or a terminate action on an account-status screen is a staff decision, not a self-service deletion.
You can change cookie choice any time. The app still needs agreement to these Terms and Privacy Policy to be used; withdrawing that agreement does not delete your account.
